What is homeopathy?
Homeopathy is a system of medicine developed in the late 1700s by Samuel Hahnemann. Here are the three ideas behind how it is practised.
Like cures like
A substance that causes certain symptoms in a healthy person is used, in highly diluted form, for similar symptoms in someone who is unwell.
Minimal dose
Remedies are prepared by serial dilution and given in small doses, as pellets or liquid.
The whole person
The remedy is chosen from the full picture: symptoms, sleep, appetite, temperament and history, not the disease name alone.
What happens in the first consultation?
A detailed conversation about your symptoms, daily routine, sleep, appetite, emotional patterns and past illnesses, so the remedy can be chosen for you.
How long does treatment take?
It depends on the condition, how long you have had it and your general health. Long-standing conditions usually need regular follow-ups. Dr. Ghosh can give you an estimate after the first visit.
Can I take homeopathy with my current medicines?
Do not stop or change any prescribed medicine on your own. Tell Dr. Ghosh about everything you take, and discuss any change with the doctor who prescribed it.
Are results guaranteed?
No. Response differs from person to person, and no clinic can promise a cure.
